Complex Made Simple

Who are we?

We are a team of dedicated Tax Practitioners aiming to assist start-ups and other small businesses with their corporate tax needs.

Having worked with smaller businesses and within the start-up environment, we understand that tax is not always a priority. However, from the moment operations begin, tax consequences arise. At some point, tax must be dealt with and from our experience, it is better to do so sooner rather than later.

We have identified the need for affordable corporate tax specialists to offer quality advice on tax matters in the start-up space; we aim to meet this need.

What we offer

Assistance in identifying the tax consequences of your business's operations and advice on how such consequences should be dealt with.

Pragmatic solutions tailored to any corporate tax problem that your company may be facing, including notoriously complex transactions; such as cross border transactions, transfer pricing, PAYE and VAT.

Assurance to current and potential funders that your company is fully tax compliant.
Never let tax issues restrict your ability to access funding opportunities!

Help for foreign social enterprises who need to understand their South African Tax position and potential liabilities.

Pricing and Services

Our standard rate is R1,500 per hour.

We will set up an introductory call (free of charge) to assess your tax position and needs. From this we will put together a quote outlining the scope of work and estimated cost.

Since we are a start-up business we understand the need for flexible pricing arrangements. In certain circumstances, where we envision a longer term relationship with a client we can discuss alternative methods of payment.

Corporate Tax Advisory

We offer corporate tax advisory for start-ups who are looking to understand the tax consequences of their operations.

Our services include advice on:

  • Value-Added Tax (VAT) treatment of transactions and business operations
  • Income tax complexities
  • Cross border structures and transactions
  • Transfer pricing
  • Pay As You Earn (PAYE)

Impact Advisory

Many social enterprises evolve from small start-ups into more complex multinational operations, transacting in many jurisdictions.

This gives rise to significant accounting and taxation complexities, requiring systems and processes that address transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, transactions in a number of currencies and the South African taxation exposures from cross-border operations.

We at The Tax Studio are here to help.
